I have been drylining a wall and used the thin coat beads on external corners. Happy with the finish.

Here, I am connecting to an existing artex ceiling.

How can I best finish this off?

Thanks in advance.

That's the stuff. It's the only way if you don't want to plaster the ceiling. Make sure it's well stuck, as it's only stuck on one edge.

Position it so the bead is at about halfway between the peaks and troughs of the ceiling below. Knock any peaks off that are too close then skim a narrow border along the edge of the artex to make a bumpy to smooth transition up to the edge.

You could use a corner bead if you wanted to scrape off its width from the artex first. Then skim over it, put a few bumps in its surface if you're feeling creative.
