3 years this summer we'll have lived in our new build semi. For around 18 months I've been putting off fixing some internal cracks around the window frames that I'm told is normal in a new house. I've got to fix these and can't put it off any longer. I just to know the best method (in steps) to do it. Thanks for your help.

This first pic is where the painted plasterboard reveal (magnolia) meets the vertical window frame (white gloss) and isn't too bad. Although the picture seems to be horizontal it is indeed a vertical pic that I forgot to rotate. Sorry.

These pics show the worst areas, along the bottom of the frame where it meets the sill. There's quite a draft from some of these when the cold Aberdeen wind blows. Thanks.

Decorator's caulk to fill those gaps/cracks. Rake out all the old stuff first, especially on those sills, then run a bead of caulk along and smooth it off with a wetted fingertip. Let it dry then paint.

You may find that when you clear out the sills you need more than one run of caulk to fill the gap before you finish with a final run.

Just to add as said rake the lot out completly then rub down edges of paintwork to remove burs before caulking, this will give a better caulk line
