How do I remove a physical zone from a Galaxy 16 Plus alarm

I need to remove a pressure pad that was on a staircase. Can anyone advise how I can remove it completely? I only have the user code for the alarm, not the engineer code. It was previously under contract via the previous owner with ADT, but I haven't contracted with them.

Remove zone from control panel and link out zone with 1k resistor.
Opening control panel lid will cause tamper fault and you may need engineers code to reset panel.
Galaxy guy could advise further.
