Hello,

My heating system is poorly configured with pumps on both the heating and hot water circuits - i know I'll have to do something about this at some point but...

I am able to remove air from the CH system via the rads but I struggle to get the air out of the heating. The hot water tank has a bleed value but I only every get tiny amount of air before water.

My problem is the boiler sounds like a kettle at points with gushing water and over spining pumps while air travels through the system. I am thinking of installing an air separator. Is this worthwhile? The system is a pressurised sealed system - not open vented.

Many thanks.

What you need to do is configure the plumbing correctly. Ask youself why the air is getting into the system- it should not.

Chances are you pump/ pumps are located incorrectly that is causing air to be sucked in.
