how do i remove sweat stain/smell?

I had this friend pass out on my bed after a long night and he was very dehydrated and sweat through the comforter. I did not find this site until a while after this incident. the matress is pretty new and i don't want to get rid of it. What should I do to remove the smell and the stain?
