Hi,

I’m upgrading a conservatory to a flat roof extension and have dug the footings and all ok for the structure but I’m not sure if the concrete floor is suitably insulated. Is there any way to tell?

it’s pretty new (10yrs) and reportedly ‘properly’ done.

I won’t be too happy if the BCO makes me dig it up and find it is ok.

Any ideas gratefully received!

Thanks

yeah, you won't need to go down far into the screed before you hit insulation, if it is there. Screed is usually 5-8cm, isn't it?
If you have a masonry drill bit you could just drill a hole and if it squeaks ... insulation!
