Im trying to fit some skirting in a room but i just dont understand how the corners should join togther to look right. I know your meant to use a mitre block but how does this cut just the top of the skirting board. This question may seem stiupid but i need help- cheers

hello answar and welcome.

If you want to mitre the corners to join two pieces of skirting board, you don't just mitre the top edge, you cut the entire piece at 45 degrees. That would take a fairly large mitre block though.

hi texmex, thanks for your reply, i seemed to have figured it out and reliazed that what you said is exactly right. i cut the whole thing from top to bottom at a 45 degree angle knowing that this will allow the other piece to slot in.
cheers ANSWAR
