How do you remove blood from fabric?

it's probably too late now, but soaking wet blood with lots of COLD water to dilute it, then wash as normal, making sure the fabric stays wet.

don't wash it hot. Cooking the stain will set it. A long cold soak followed by a cold wash with a bio detergent is your best bet. Don't use soap powder or chemicals until you're sure the cold water has done all it can.

I was told to put salt on the stain and soak the affected area.
