i am building an extension at the back of my house with marley wessex tiles
the roof will be hiped how many tiles will i need per m2

at 75mm headlap you will use 10.2 tiles/m2.

How does the OP work out if the 0.2 of the tile is the top left or right of the tile?

I'm sure you meant 11 tiles

But I make this mistake often - don't work the roof out on purely m2 - you will always need more tiles.

Despite what the manufactures say, there are always more tiles to cover a m2, as often the nett area of 1 tile may in reality mean 4 tiles cut into 75mm wide pieces.

If there are any cuts or the guage is adjusted, then its very easy to be at least 10% out from the total based on m2.

Either add 12%, or work it out based on how many tiles wide, by how many rows high
