How many variations on the plastic vaillant ecotec pro 28 diverter valve are there, just in case I buy the wrong one?

your boiler has a GC number and a serial number quote these when ordering the valve, or take a pic of the existing valve and compare it with pics of valves on ebay and if you see the same one there will probably be a part number there

Afaik one plastic one brass. If you use direct heating spares, they use filters, so it narrows it down to the correct one.
