How much for all this work?

Hi,

Just wondering if people could tell me what would be a fair price for this work to be done:

3 doors + door frames fitted (with me providing the doors)
A small bathroom half tiled and shower fitted (with me providing the tiles)
Small Kitchen floors tiled and walls partially tiled (me providing the tiles)
A medium sized lounge floor laminated with skirting boards being done too (with me providing the laminate flooring).

Sorry if this is the wrong forum or anything it's just for my mum I'm just wondering how much she can expect to pay for this.

Get 3 quotes, pointless getting a few guesses off a Forum, medium sized this average sized that etc!

You dont give the wall and floor sizes mate, tiles to be used, ceramic, stone, porcelain etc, size of tiles.
Prices for your tiling will vary dependent on area to be tiled, type and size of tiles, how much cutting will be involved, will there be any over boarding etc etc.

get a few tilers around to give you quotes and ask if they will fit the shower for you.

I have to agree that 3 quotes is the way to go - or more details (such as room measurements for the floor).

I'd always try and give a ball park figure if I could, but that's a little vague. For instance do you need new architrave with the doors and frames? Is the plaster around the existing frames solid, or is new plaster likely to be needed when the new frames go in?
