how much should I pay for fitting skirting and architrave?

Hi Folks,
I'm having the skirting and architrave replaced and was wondering what would be a fair price to pay a carpenter for fitting the skirting and architrave in a room? Let's say the room is 4x3m in size. Do they usually charge by the time taken or the length installed? This is only for fitting. I'll supply the materials.

Not sure what would be the right price, but I'm having this done in a few rooms, so could add up quite a bit.
