How much would be a fair price to fit an outside tap?

How much would you charge to fit a stop cock to a mains pressure pipe going to an outside toilet?

Someone has offered to pay me £40 to do both jobs. I thought they were taking the p!ss but they seem genuinely serious!

Now from what i know around here, most plumbers charge about £60 for an outside tap. However no idea how much a stop cock to mains pressure would cost as never looked into it. Anyone have any ideas?

as you say £40 take out your materials what you left with ?
unless you give them one of them £10 jobbies from bq.

stopcock isn't hard job depending on access, finding outside stopcock etc.
you still want an hourly rate + mats.

How long will it take you?
How much are materials?
How much travelling is involved?

If they supplied taps / fittings and pipe needed, i'd have a go for £40

The last outside tap I fitted a few months ago come to £100 + VAT inc all materials.

if they supply materials ad say 40 pound is reasonable, but u could charge a bit more and it would stil be ok, really depends where they want it and where u have to make the connection, if its just straight out then 40 but if u have to go halfway through the house then more, as for the stopcock thatl no take u 2 mins just add a tenner for that since your there anyway
