I am starting an extension. I have a 150mm thick slab 4M x 3M to remove first.

I am going to bring someone in to do this...how much should I pay....whats the going rate for a job like this.

I will supply the skip, access is good etc.

What should I expect to pay.

what is it from? 6 inches is pretty serious thickness for a patio area was it a garage raft? If it was any kind of structure base it could well have mesh in it which will turn it from a 1 day job into a 3 day job.

Do you really need to remove it?
I had a concrete patio slab, BCO asked what I was going to do with it. I told him I'd break it up but leave it in situ and just oversite over it.
His reply was to just leave it in situ and not break it up, just oversite over it.

I did have plenty of clearance so it was no problem.

Afternoons work with a breaker from hire shop, if access is good a grab lorry may be cheaper and less work than skip.
