How not to charge Vaillant Wireless Compensator?

My wireless compensator that part of my central heating system has been sitting upside down outside for nearly a year without sunlight. (A solar powered wireless device that talks to my boiler, telling it the outside temperature so it can adjust and alter the flow temperature automatically.)

Decided to charge it up a bit by suspending it over a 60w incandescent lamp using a bit of duck tape! :D:arrow::notworthy:

Well came back to this result::eek:


Maybe I should have just left it out in the sun. o_O
