How to attach pergola to extension

Hi,

I would like to build a pergola but I'm not sure how to attach the framing piece to the extension. Most of the tutorials on Youtube show them being built on brick homes - So I'm not sure of the fixings etc

Any help would be much appreciated!

Assuming the rear of the extension is brick behind the render.

You can use 4x2 as a wall plate using wall anchor bolts, you want something quite hefty at 400mm intervals, something around M14 or bigger.
