How to bleed a central heating pump.....

For now, if the pump as you say is roasting and you have no heat in the pipes either side of your pump, I would turn the lot off. As the pump is lubricated with water.

Perhaps time as you say to call in the experts. :(
 
blowing down the vent pipe was a funny one i gave to me apprentice the other day,for an airlock.give him his due he got the bugger filling everytime he tried to unlock it. :lol:
