How to connect a 2-gang switch!

Hi! I'm having trouble replacing a 2-gang switch (the left switch of old one could be pressed in anymore after being in use for 2 years).

I've done it exactly the same way as how it was done before. However, right now, the left switch is controlling the right switch - i.e. the set of lights controlled by the right switch turns on only when the left switch is also on. The set of lights that is supposed to be controlled by the left switch cannot be switched on.

The first 2 photos are the previous connection with the old switch that stopped working. The third photo is my current connection with a new switch. I'm 99% sure I've connected it exactly as it was before.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong? Thanks so much in advance for any advice.

Well done for taking the pictures before you stripped it, and for making it easy for a solution on here.
