Dear All,

Would appreciate some guidance in replacing my 2 gang 2 way switch in the hallway.

I have read all of the previous posts but could not find the exact guidance.

The old switch has...

Common (2 off)
Terminal 2( 2 off ...also labelled as 1 way)
Terminal 3 (2 off) ... checked by tester ..is live

Right hand switch controls 2 lights in hallway and the left hand switch controls only 1 light.

Photo is attached for reference.

=============
New switch has...(2off)

Common
L1
L2

My question is how do the old wires map across to the new one?

(Is it a diagonally split switch with one straight and other upside down?)

I will ensure earthing is done .

Thank you,

What are you asking?
You realise that the switches are two triangles.

It will be an exact copy.

COM to COM
2 to L1
3 to L2

although L1 and L2 the other way round doesn't matter.

Thank you. Yes I do realise that they are two traingles but wanted to be on the safer side and get a confirmation. Appreciate the quick response. Have a lovely day.
