We need to lift a section of vinyl flooring to inspect floor below. It appears to have been glued down but it is loose in places, so not glued all that well.

Unfortunately the vinyl is no longer available from the supplier, so it needs to be cut very neatly so that it can be re-laid.

I have yet to find a professional fitter willing to do the job, so want to tackle it myself.

Any tips on the type of tool to use, or how to cut it neatly, would be appreciated.

Straight edge and a sharp stanley blade and hope it comes up cleanly, the joins will never be invisible, try cutting down the 'grout lines' if possible.
