Hi all, how does this come off?

Do I need a special (and likely costly) spanner?

I want to clean the filters, before I attack it with the big teethed tools I want to check that it just needs to unscrew and what best to use for it?

Cheers.

Well I think it's that one.

BTW - is there any leeway in compatibility with cheaper cartridges?
Am I likely to find something far cheaper that fits or is it cheaper to simply get a new mixer?

What's wrong with the shower? How old is it? You may also have to check the inlet filters too (y)

Best to get the correct cartridge from the manufacturer or showerdoctor if they have it.

Well, disassembled all, not much to clean as it wasnt really mucky.

But after reassembly it now works better - perhaps something was stuck.
Problem solved and if it goes again I now know what to do and what bit I need (and that I wont get it but will replace with a cheaper shower).

Cheers.
