Hi i need to drain this boiler in order to fit some new rads, how does
one go about this.

There is a drain valve under the boiler which looks like a hose pipe
can fit on.

Other than that i dont know what to do, but keen to learn.

thanks, it's a sealed system with a filling loop under the boiler.

Also i heard i can add chemicals to the system via a towel rad as it's upright?

one of these

and dont forget to turn the boiler off before you start

I know there's one under the boiler but cannot find one on the lower floor rads, so it's the only one. So i knock off boiler, do i need to do anything to the radiators?

Thanks

if the rads you are changing are upstairs and the boiler is downstairs you should be ok

if not it might be easier to remove a rad and put a hose on the valve

turn the valves off first tho

if you open the bleed screws upstairs after the pressure drops it will drain quicker

Yes the radiators are upstairs, but i need to back to the boiler 22mm.

Also adding fennox etc, is this easier through the towel rad?
