I am looking into adding a 12ft x 12 ft extension to a kitchen, the house which is 5 years old, has an air source heat pump .
with all the rooms having a separate loop in the floor I assume,
as each room has it's own thermostat.
The heat pump is in the opposite side of the house and I can't see any easy way of adding an extra loop except if I run it externally!
I assume that it's not possible to just dig up a bit of floor and extend the loop by cutting into it?
Is there any other solution that I have not though of?
I would imagine this is a fairly common thing.
Any advice would be appreciated.
BTY I will get a proper heating engineer to do the work but I just want to find out if it is feasible before I start planning the job.
Thanks
Mike
