How to fix a sunken floor

In an upstairs bedroom(next to the boiler/water tank) the floor has sunk by about 1.5 inches due to heat and weight of electrical goods in the room, how can this be fixed to never happen again?

What the ever helpful merlin50 is trying to say yet has many problems doing so effectively (he is from Cornwall afterall) is that maybe you could provide a bit more information on the problem and the type of construction of the floor.
