Hi forum

I'm looking to fit a plastic security light outside my house. I've got a double switch next to my back door which leads out to my back garden now the cable for the existing light I suspect is coming from the rose in the downstairs toilet which only has to wires red and black but there is another cable there which agian only has to wires red and black so would that be coming from the switch if so how would I fit this light

Pre 1966 there was no earth requirement for lighting, regulations are not retrospective so lights fitted can still be used, but adding new lights they need to comply with current regulations so likely will need to be fed from a socket supply. Forgetting about regulations if the lamp and PIR are both double insulated then there should be no problem.
