How to install this threshold

Any suggestion on how to install this threshold? How can I hide the screws? I am not really sure what the white guide is for.

As you might have guessed the 8mm part needs to go on top of the laminate floor.

My idea would be to ignore the current holes in the laminate floor, use the guide and screw it in the board and then use a mallet to fix the threshold to it.

The white bit is what you screw to the floor, The threshold piece gets tapped down into it hiding the screws. Simples!!

The white guide (actually a long clip) is shown in blue on the diagram .
