How to join a stair/hall runner to a full carpet?

Hi i'm fitting a stair/hall runner up the stairs and onto the landing. where this runner meets other carpets ie at the bedroom door ways what do i use to join them. do i have to use a double sided door bar and cut out the unused gripper bits?

any advice?
