Hi

I need to level kitchen floor which is concrete. I might need to level upto 50mm

What is the best self levelling compound I can use and is there any other option to self levelling compound?

Also is there way to self level ove a parquet flooring without taking it out?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

I certainly wouldn't apply self leveling compound over the parquet; as wood can shrink and expand with moisture and heat, you'd risk cracking the SLC. Depending on the overall coverage of the floor, you could put down some concrete to bring the level up, and then level it properly with the SLC.

Woody, I think recently advised that screed coild be laid thin if it had SBR added ( I think.....might be completely wrong!)

Im not sure you would like the cost of 50mm if levelling compound.....

A screed is a cement and sharp sand mix that can be leveled smoothly (but not always enough for a vinyl covering), a colid, is a misspelling of could, and SBR is an adhesive liquid/mixture that will provide a good key between the existing cement, and the new screed.
