I am about to lay a reclaimed parquet floor. Last year I did the living room this year I am doing my dining room.
However the concrete surface in the dining room was cracked and loose so I have lifted previous surface what I presume was a self levelling compound.
The surface underneath is pretty flat but dusty, not matter how many times I brush it. So I could either lay a thin coat of a self levelling compound to get it absolutely flat or seal the floor and lay the parquet.
What should I do?
If laying a self levelling compound what is the best method to make a barrier to prevent the compound spreading where you do not want it to?
