I am painting a green screen for a video shoot. I'm using Benjamin Moore Neon Green Paint in a flat finish.

Unfortunately it's not as flat as I'd hoped. Is there anything I can do to the surface or anything I can add to the paint (still got two coats to go) to get a dead flat matte finish with no sheen whatsoever?

Thanks for any help!

Try adding talcum powder to the paint.

Yep should have used Rosco and have done in the past, but no time to get any now before the shoot. This Benjamin Moore paint was recommended by a US colleague, and it is really good, a much purer green that I've found from the usual UK suppliers. Just not as flat as I'd hoped.

Does talc really work, and if so how much do you add per litre?

I was thinking a light sanding of the top coat should help?
