How to measure output of a radiator

I am NOT looking to determine the btu needs of the room, I am trying to learn how much heat the radiator generates.

Every website I have hit leads me to calculate what I need. I know what I need, but I have a radiator already and need to know if it produces what I need. Isn't there some formula?

Radiator
height of each section - 20in
number of sections 16
number of tubes per section 4

I recognize that paint and environment can make a difference. Isn't there a formula.

If for example you have a stelrad, then go to their web site and with the sizes and type of rad you can see what it will produce. I don't know of a calc which gives rad outputs. There is however a rad size calc to ascertain rad sizes required for a specific room.

Yes. The width of the column is 3 inches, thickness of each section is 1 inch.

Shouldn't this be just some math formula???

why are you trying to overcomplecate something? the manufacturers have done all the hard work for you by producing a chart telling you what each rad produces so simply cross reference your rad with the nearest one you can find, then read the literature and see what delta T they are using, work out what your delta T is then adjust to suit its complicated enough
 
You dont NEED to know the rad output. All you need to know is if the room is warm enough.

What you CAN do is measure flow and return of the rad and the room temperature and the outside temperature. Thats basic information and apart from the room temperature is irrelevant to you but thats your choice.

There is another way and thats by measuring the heat input of your furnace and then approprotion it between all the rads according to their sizes. First though it would be necessary to balance each one until they all have the same flow and return.
