I have started sanding the woodwork on my house and so far have sanded all the ground floor windows and about 30% of the fascia boards on the ground floor.

Now I have got most of the way round I am scratching my head about how I go about doing the windows and fascia on the first floor because the ground floor juts out a bit. Any ideas?

Scaffolding for that wouldn't be expensive, my scaffolder would charge £200-£250 for a full 1st floor lift.

I never understand the diehards that will avoid the cost of scaffolding and work from ladders above ground floor. Once the scaffold is up the time saving over ladders (up n down, moving position, forgot scratchy etc) makes the cost more bearable and the injury potential is minimal.
