How to paint this wardrobe

Hi All.

Got this old wardrobe, would like to paint it as thesame colour as the wall, the wall paint can be used on wood also. My question is, can I just use a roller to apply the paint. The stain on the wardrobe doesn't appear to be oily as its an old wardrobe made of oak and extremely heavy. Wary of making too much mess in a newly decorated room.

You can prime with ESP ( no sanding required) then rolled using short pile mohair roller.

Just wipes on cleans and primes.

Hand sand it with 120 grit paper then paint over. Have a vacuum handy to remove the dust as you go along.
