Hi,

Bathroom is very cold and I am in the midst of doing some works so decided to have a look at extractor fan as it does seem quite large.

I have removed it from wall and the hole is 190 mm in circumference.
The general size of bathroom extractor fans is 100 mm so it does need reducing but how?
I will be doing works myself and am a basic DIY,er .

There is no pipe as such in the hole, just bare concrete.
There is a grill on the external side but nothing else bar the extractor fan,no vent flaps, etc.

I want to fit a new pull cord 100 mm extractor fan.

What are my best options.

Should I get a 150 mm reducer to 100 mm ,attach it to 100 mm duct pipe and cement it into hole, make good then insert vent flaps and new extractor?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, many thanks.
