How to remove bathroom tile adhersive ?

Hi

Just removed old tiles from a bathroom and want to re-tile. The problem is the old adhersive needs to be removed. At the moment just using a scraper and this takes ages, just wondering if there is a easier way of removing the adhersive.

You would be better off putting a skim of plaster over it...doesn't have to be perfect if you are tiling over it. ( I did the same thing)
