How to repair base of lamp.

Any thoughts on how to reattach the shade to base of lamp.

The shade looks like glass but I am sure it is some sort of `plastic` with leading.
As image shows the shade part at bottom that connects is narrow about 4 cms. so in my opinion weak.
There is no other support for the shade.
I can't access from underneath due to the construction.
I am thinking some sort of resin / filler but any recommendation as to what type?
