I have two projects to complete both with a small problem I cannot find an answer to. Both relate to making good a pasterboard wall.

The first is a bathroom wall where the tape at the top of the plasterboard has come loose in one place. It's been painted over, so is quite stiff. What is the best way to repair this?

The second is where the plasterboard is joined vertically. I have a crack and lifted tape. is it the same solution as above?

Any helps greatly received

Hi Dave and welcome to the Forum,
Once a tape/s comes away from the wall, there is not very much you can do with it except take it off and put new ones on. If you tried to get behind the loose tape and try to stick it back to the wall, you will just loosen it even more. You will need to bed new tapes onto the wall, or get someone to show you how, (maybe a painter) if you are unsure.

Hi Roughcaster,

Thanks for your reply. I thought that to be the case, but was hoping that there was another easier route.

I'll follow your advice and find someone to help.

Cheers
