Hi, I have a bathroom fan that shuts off as soon as the light switch goes off, I had an electrician round and he said it's tricky to get a permanent live to the fan.
I'm wondering if I can use a timer switch of some sort ?

Thanks

If the other end of the wiring is accessible, ie in the loft, the timer in the fan can usually be removed and fitted in a remote enclosure like a wiska box.

Usually dead easy for an electrician.

Thanks its an a flat in a converted building so maybe that's the problem, it's not that accesiible

IF the permanent live appears at the light and IF it's an enclosed light then it MAY be possible to fit it in the light fitting.
