Many thanks. That makes some sense, but only because of what you have drawn. I feel sure that I will not have been the only one struggling to work out how one was meant to use it - and I'm not convinced that I do even now that you have 'annotated' it !

Quite so, and the ones I have are all 'very obvious', too - which (unless it's just me!) is very different from the situation of the OP's one!I have this type and its pretty obvious....small slot 10mm bigger slot 16mm
