How tough is 1.5mm EDPM roof sheeting?

Hi, considering 1.5mm EDPM to replace the old corrugated bitumous sheets on my shed. Couple pics from when I built it in 2009. Will now close gable ends and clad with 18mm OSB for the rubber.

How tough and durable is this rubber, and is it easy to repair small holes/tears with offcuts from the original sheet and (say) the contact adhesive supplied with the kit?

One report on DIYnot reported leaking from a tiny hole, so small it could not be found. Is it likely to get punctured by cats or birds?

Chuck Norris recommended EPDM

It lasts longer than any other cover too, and if need be is easier to repair.
