I'd get yourself down to Curry's or somewhere with your tape measure if I were you, I would think you want a couple of mm wriggle room either side anyway. Don't take your fitters word for it. And check the width all over ie the back and at floor level not just the top or front where it's easy to measure.
Appliances are often 595mm for a nominal 600mm so you might be ok.
They do vary though, only safe option is to check against the model you are having.
Even if it fits by measurement, itll be tight sliding it in.
