Looking at a new house SAP calcs I require 28000 kWh/yr for total space heating. This is for a 600m sq house (over three floors) does the above equate to a oil boiler size or is something missing?
Thanks

Thanks Andrew, I am trying to make 28000 kWh/year work into 30 kW
I looked at the Baxi calculator and it gets a bit awkward as this house is rectangle over three floors with a large "wing" built on the side (like an extension) making it difficult to compute (for an outsider)
Thanks again

Calculate the wing seperately

My 30kw comes from...

28000kW space heating a year
Heating on for four months (120 days) = 28000/120 = 233.3kW/day
Assuming 8 hours heating a day, 233.3/8 = 29.1kW

It's a bit of a rough-and-ready way of doing it but it looks about right
