HW but no CH

Hi i would be greatfull for some advice regarding my heating when my system comes on the hot water is ok but if i over ride the timer the heating doesn't work although when left to come on timer it seems to be ok!!!

We need a bit more information here. First question. Is the over-ride function built into the timer or is it a separate switch. Second question. When CH runs on the timer, as you say it does, is HW still on. Put that another way - have you EVER been able to get HW and CH running at the same time?
