ICOS M3080 Broken

Header tank started running all the time, eventually found out that the boiler drain was running all the time.
All pipe were bankiong, had someone out to look and they tell me that the water jacket has split and water leaked onto PCB,

The boiler is only 6 years old, and they are suggesting i need a new boiler - does this make sense over repair as they have not quoted for repair - would it be worth it ??

Sounds drastic but a new boiler is probably the best option, don't get another Ideal.

if they said the heat exchanger has gone then tbh with the cost of repairing it it might be a better option to get a new boiler, as your boiler model is notoriously unreliable. as said before if you get a new boiler avoid an ideal
