Hi,
I've had an Ideal C28 combi boiler installed for just over a year. Over the past few weeks I've occasionally found a stain on the worktop directly below the boiler in the mornings. After a bit of investigation, it seems that there is a small leak coming from the CH flow connecton. The quantity is small; barely enough to fill the bottom of a mug. The leak doesn't occur every night, and only seems to have occurred on very cold nights.
I've checked the joints and all seem to be tight. The leaked fluid leaves behind a greenish tinge when it dries, which I guess is the anti-corrosion fluid within the CH loop, so it would seem to be from the loop contents rather than condensation.
Does this need attention? A friend informs me that 'boilers do that sometimes' but I am unconvinced.
Many thanks,
Matt
