I have recently noticed that where the flue pipe joins the 90degree fitting inside boiler case there is a hole about 10mm in the middle pipe.
Does this mean the gas am moisture from the exhaust side of it will a get into my boiler case and the moisture damage the parts and b it will not be drawing all clean air from outside due to this hole.
If so should it be covered with heat resistant flue tape?

They're all like it, sir! Never heard a really good explanation as to why !

Interesting that you just happen to notice this hole, did you have a problem with the boiler that made you take the casse off, which is in fact a job for RGI as the case on these should be sealed and the seal check when reinstated.
