Ideal Icos HE15 Boiler Vibration and Booming

The boiler was installed new in December 2010. 15 minutes after starting in the morning, there is significant vibration which sounds like a motorbike from anywhere in the house. This clears but returns occasionally during the day.
Also occasional booming from the boler which is not the gas lighting up. This shakes the pipes and is quite loud - accompanied by a gurgling noise.
Any comments?

Although previous posts about this boiler do not have my exact symptoms, I have turned down the boiler stat and increased the pump setting by 1 level - Alpha2 L 15-60-130.
