I have a Ideal Logic 30 Combi boiler. I noticed that every time when I have the central heating turned on, the boiler leaks out water from underneath the boiler. It doesn't leak out a lot of water and it's not like a constant leak, but it leaks at least once every time I have the central heating turned on. What's strange is that the boiler appears fine and doesn't leak when I am just using hot water. What could be wrong with it?

what does the system pressure go up to when the heating is on ?
When the heating isn't on, the system pressure is at around 1. When the heating is turned on, it goes to around 1.5 to 2
What is a sump?
That is normal , have a look at Ideal fixed price repair, probably your best bet
It's a big plastic bit at the bottom of the heat exchanger which collects the condensate (and any leakage from the slightly dodgy heat exchangers) and directs it out via the condensate trap to waste.
Ours was caused by a split in the top of the condensate trap ideal logic 30 condensate trap so once it filled up it only leaked when heating turned on. Luckily a cheap & easy fix.
