I fitted a couple of linked HE 30's 5 years ago, they have never been serviced it appears. both still in very good order except that one of them doesn't work. (flashing alternate F.L.) I removed the cover, & flexi from the syphon...... loads of water, so the combustion chamber had water in, the fan would have injected water into the gas valve I guess. Boiler has a noisy fan (not surprising) boiler fired up after chamber drained. I recommended fan change & service but before I could get that in place, a day later boiler fault, flashing FL again. \haven't been back yet. Any thoughts?

Go into the Combustion Chamber forum. This is not for open discussion. Lots of gas safety critical things with this boiler.
Ok, yes I am gas Safe registered & corgi before that, this is the first time here, I see your point about safety issues & open forums, I will sign into CC when I can get off my backside & look up my ID number. I was up at 4.30 am & didnt get back home until 8.30 pm - its been a looooong day
