Hi Guys,

I wonder anyone can help me out to pin down the problem with my boiler.

central heating is working fine but boiler doesnt work on hot water mode. It only gives hot water when i switch on central heating together with water but then it takes ages to heat water

Not sure if anything major to call the engineer or is it something simple which i am missing.

What controls have you got,is it a y plan or s plan?

Not sure what do u mean, I use timer to switch it on/off.

You need to check where your controls are eg your pump etc, it sounds like you have an s plan system and the hot water zone valve is faulty. They most likely will be fitted where your hot water cylinder is.

sanku google heating valves and find out if you have one or two in your airing cupboard.
one valve is y plan
two valves is s plan
sort that out and come back with the information bud
